Donovan Pate is an automation enthusiast and avid gamer. Donovan is employed as a ServiceNow Developer at BluePearl Veterinary Partners and is pursuing an Associate’s of Science degree from Olympic College. He spends his days with his loving wife of 10 years and enjoys travelling, family, and the betterment of humanity.
Professionally, Donovan solves issues in the IT world with a mixture of automation and process distillation. Projects at his current workplace include complete automation of the password reset process, a reconfiguration of the ticketing system, and leading software implementations throughout the country. The password reset automation has resulted in thousands of person-hours saved between the IT department and the hospital associates. The ticketing system rework has allowed for intake automation and triage, resolving many issues before a person even needs to step in and saving everyone time by automating the flow of inbound issues to the correct team. The software that Donovan has implemented throughout the organization has automated the sharing of information between the hospitals, the clients, and their primary veterinarians, freeing up phone lines for new clients and urgent issues.
Outside of work, Donovan invests his time into his family and friendships through a variety of games. In 2022 Donovan competed in a family disc golf tournament, an Overwatch video game tournament, and participated in weekly or more tabletop gaming sessions with friends. Donovan has also worked towards being environmentally conscious, installing solar panels on his roof and replacing his yard with a moss yard, reducing his household’s electricity and water consumption.
